Care For the Homeless Board Chair Named to Prestigious List of 100 Exceptional Private Company Board Members

Care For the Homeless is pleased to announce that our Board Chair, Surjit Chana, a Harvard Fellow, has been named one of the 100 Exceptional Private Company Board Members by Board Recruitment, the flagship publication of BoardProspects, a leading board recruitment marketplace for public and private companies.
Mr. Chana, a former member of IBMโs global senior leadership team and a distinguished technology, digital transformation, and marketing executive, is being recognized for his exceptional leadership and influence across the full spectrum of private company governanceโincluding technology, finance, strategy, and social responsibility.
Mr. Chana joined the CFH Board of Directors in 2017 and was elected Chair in 2021. He also serves as board director of Beneficial State Bank and Bancorp, a director of the University of Surrey U.S. Foundation, and a member of the Global Alliance for Banking on Values Technology Committee. His previous board service includes IBMโs Mid-Market Advisory Board, Fintech4Good, and the Global Digital Economy Leadership Council.

Mr. Chana is a technology and digital transformation executive and Harvard Fellow. He has developed deep expertise in technology, strategy, general management, marketing, and governance over a 35-year global career. He currently serves as CEO and President of Tech4Good Consulting. His certifications from the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD.DC) and Carnegie Mellonโs Cybersecurity Oversight program underscore his commitment to impactful and secure governance in complex, high-growth organizations.
His prior leadership roles include Chief Operating Officer at IBM Digital; Chief Marketing, Communications, and Corporate Social Responsibility Officer for IBM Europe; and Vice President of Solutions, Strategy, and Chief Marketing Officer for IBMโs Systems Business, among others.
