Welcoming Jonathan Santos-Ramos to CFH

Please join us in welcoming our new Chief Program Officer!

We are happy to announce that Jonathan Santos-Ramos has joined us as our new Chief Program Officer (CPO). We created this position to support our strategic growth and expansion.

Jonathan Santos-Ramos

Mr. Santos-Ramos has worked for decades delivering services to unstably housing folks or living on the streets. Most recently, he served as Interim Executive Director at Callen-Lorde Community Health Center, a global leader in LGBTQ health care.

Before his time as Interim Executive Director, he served in several other senior roles. These include Senior Director, Organizational Planning & Sustainability, and Director of Community Engagement & Strategic Initiatives. His resume also includes management positions at Community Healthcare Network and the New York City Department of Health.

The Chief Program Officer Role

As CPO, he will be responsible for managing the strategic expansion and day-to-day operations of CFHโ€™s health care and residential services in total. Mr. Santos-Ramosโ€™ goals are to create and grow program initiatives that facilitate the organizationโ€™s strategy. This ensures that people experiencing homelessness have access to low-barrier, high-quality health care, and residential, and social services.

An Essential Expansion

This addition to the executive team comes on the heels of the organization earning three new grants. New York State Department of Health โ€“ Health Care Facilities Transformation Program III awarded one. The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded two others. Combined, these grants total over $20 million.

CFH will use these funds to create new health center sites and develop more comprehensive care programs for New Yorkers without stable housing.

โ€œI am so excited to be bringing my passion and energy to the amazing people at CFH. The organizationโ€™s mission is so very aligned with the need of the city right now,โ€ states Mr. Santos-Ramos. โ€œI have had a relationship with CFH for more than ten years, serving on the Governing Board of the National Health Care for the Homeless Council. As an individual that found myself without a stable home as a teen, this work is deeply meaningful to me in ways that are often difficult to express.โ€

โ€œThis is a time of significant growth for CFH,” says CFH President and CEO, George Nashak. “Adding Jonathan is an essential step in ensuring that we can take these expansions to their full potential. We could not have asked for a better person to fill the CPO role. Jonathanโ€™s decades of experience and his passionate commitment to serving communities on the margins make him an exciting addition to the CFH family. We cannot wait to share the stories of his successes.โ€
