Jim Mutton and the Neibacher-Rosen Legacy Society

We recently launched the Neibacher-Rosen Legacy Society, and one of our first members is former CFH board member Jim Mutton. In this Q&A, he explains why he made that decision.

We recently launched the Neibacher-Rosen Legacy Society, and one of our first members is former CFH board member Jim Mutton. In this Q&A, he explains why he made that decision.

You can join Jim by including CFH in your estate plans and if you wish, let us know by sending an email to:  csharp@cfhnyc.org. If you would like to remain anonymous, that’s perfectly fine. If you do not currently have a will, you can create one for free, as Jim did, here.

Thank you, Jim, for your support!

How was your experience creating a will using FreeWill?

Very straightforward and easy to use.  Helped consolidate all my financials into one easy-to-understand legal document

You indicated that you included Care For the Homeless in your will. Can you provide a few words on why?

Care For the Homeless is near and dear to my heart.  Having served on the Board of Directors for 13 years and witnessing the impact of their work on countless lives, I cannot think of a more deserving non-profit.  Care For the Homeless keeps me grounded on relevant policy issues in homeless services and the power of their constituent storytelling is most meaningful

What would you say to encourage others to consider including CFH in their estate plans?

At the end of the day, it is what you do for others that counts the most.  If you have the capacity to extend a portion of your assets to help transform lives, choose a living legacy nonprofit like Care For the Homeless that will make every penny count.

If you would like to leave something to CFH but have not created your will yet, you can do that easily and at no cost to you in 20 minutes! This online resource, courtesy of Freewill, makes it quick and easy to make your will and include CFH in your plans:  www.freewill.com  If you do want to include CFH in your plans, please use the following information:
