He will remain on the board through the end of the calendar year to support the transition of our new Chair (to be announced soon, so stay tuned).
We asked Dan about what motivated him to join the board.
โFor many years, my younger brother Jimmy has existed on the margins, with no permanent home,โ he replied. โHis situation made me aware of the many hardships faced by people who are experiencing homelessness. His experiences spurred me to join CFHโs efforts to break down the daunting barriers to the achievement of a better life.โ
โAfter all,โ he concluded, โevery single person living on the street or in a shelter, is someoneโs Jimmy.โ
We are genuinely grateful for Danโs contributions and for his dedication to those in need. His work reflects the qualities of all those who join us in our mission to end homelessness and is another reflection of our principal that,
Homelessness is a condition, not a characteristic.
And conditions can be treated. Thanks to great volunteer leaders like Dan, our Board, and you, high-quality health care can and does end homelessness.
Thank You, Dan!
